Session D - Performance Psychology
Dr. Peter Papadogiannis PhD
Performance psychology and mental skills training has been identified as an important ingredient of an individual’s ability to successfully cope with environmental demands. Because of the constantly changing environments in which we live and perform in, individuals often require more than just technical know-how to be successful.
As a result of the workshop, participants will:
· Understand the field of performance psychology/mental skills training and its relevance to improving individual performance
· Discuss the mental skills primarily undertaken in performance psychology practice
· Identify areas in which positive psychology/mental skills training can be applied to psychotherapy practice.
· Generate interventions and action steps that can be applied in psychotherapy practice.
